This study aims to analyze real-world outcomes of outpatient care for patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
Retrospective analysis of 91 patients diagnosed with primary ITP from 01/2020 to 12/2021.
Patients' treatment histories and platelet counts were analyzed, focusing on therapies used and outcomes obtained.
Data included details on therapy lines, types of treatments, and results like complete response (CR) and partial response (R).
At diagnosis, the mean age of patients was 55 years, with an initial mean platelet count of 26 g/l.
The primary treatment involved corticosteroids (56% of patients), and overall, patients had varied treatment responses: 39% achieved CR, 18% R, and 43% NR.
No grade III bleeding complications were reported during treatment, indicating safe management of ITP in an outpatient setting.
