Analysis reviews the visual elements of pre-electoral agitation in Russia, highlighting their significance in modern political science.
In the article the monograph “Visualization of choice: history and the modern state of pre-electoral agitation in Russia” which is devoted to one of the relevant topics in Russian political science, visual aspects of pre-electoral technologies in modern Russia, is being reviewed. The authors draw attention to the saturated empiric material which till the recent time hasn’t been input into the scientific language: pre-electoral posters, leaflets, caricatures, photos, drawings, historical documents. Based on the thorough analysis some issues of the pre-electoral agitation in Russia and abroad are considered along with the functions of the visual aspects of election campaign.
