This research explores errors in ship position determination, showing how navigational parameters affect accuracy.
The sensibility of a ship’s ergative function of ship position determination is defined. A technique of evaluation of errors of latitude and longitude determination which depend on navigational parameter measurement error has been developed. Terms and conditions for reducing of a ship’s ergative function of ship position determination entropy have been fixed under which: positioning ac-curacy where the vessel is located will be within the actual accuracy of the navigation parameter measurement; accuracy of measuring of navigation parameters will be maximal.
