Observational analysis highlights improved animal science indicators and egg quality in broilers, suggesting butyrate and chicory can boost productivity.
The relevance of the poultry industry as one of the key areas in solving the issues of food independence of the country has been discussed in the article. The emphasis is on the importance of poultry farming in meeting the growing demand of the population for products of animal origin, as well as the importance of rational feeding for the implementation of the genetic potential of agricultural poultry. The need for the use of biologically active feed additives that help improve the animal science indicators of laying hens of the parent her of broilers is emphasized. The purpose of the work was to assess the effect of a feed additive based on butyrate and chicory on the animal science indicators of laying hens of the parent herd of broilers, as well as on the quality of hatching eggs. The experiment was carried out on the basis of the enterprise Limited Liability Partnership “A-Altyn” (Republic of Kazakhstan) using the additive AndSid Perfect produced by FF Chemicals BV (Netherlands). The laying hens of the experimental groups were fed by compound feed with nutritional value according to the recommendations for working with the cross Ross 308 and the feed additive AndSid Perfect was added in the amount of 0.5; 0.7 and 1.0 kg per 1 ton of compound feed. The results of the studies showed that the introduction of the feed additive in the amount of 0.7 and 1.0 kg per 1 ton of compound feed contributed to the improvement of the dynamics of the live weight of laying hens, their survivability and productivity, and the quality of hatching eggs. The highest indicators were noted when introducing the test additive 1.0 kg /t of feed. The authors came to the conclusion that the use of a feed additive based on butyrate and chicory is an effective approach to improving the animal science characteristics of broilers, improving the productivity and quality indicators of brooding results of eggs.
