Analysis shows potential GDP growth driven by economic diversification and investment attractiveness in Tyumen.
The purpose of the article is to show that moderate growth in gross domestic product (GDP) is expected in the Tyumen Region in 2023. Economic diversification plays an important role in achieving this indicator, which is aimed at reducing dependence on hydrocarbon exports and developing the domestic consumer market, as well as attracting investment in infrastructure and introducing innovative technologies into production processes. The changing economic landscape contributes to the emergence of new leading industries and types of economic activity (FEA) such as oilfield service equipment and mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical production, woodworking, and the agro-industrial complex. At the same time, the development of industries and foreign economic activity is facilitated by the organization of small and medium-sized enterprises, which will implement a number of programs aimed at improving the business climate, taking into account the provision of financial support to small and medium-sized businesses. These measures contribute to the creation of new jobs, increase tax revenues to the budget and increase the competitiveness of the national economy.
