Numerical simulations reveal how welding speed and current affect residual stress in Q235 steel.
To simulate the numerical value and distribution law of residual stress field in continuous cutting and welding of Q235 low-carbon steel plate, a finite element model of the continuous cutting and welding continuous processing process is established. The residual stress distribution in the cutting and welding process is revealed through numerical simulation research. The results indicate that welding process parameters have a significant impact on residual stress distribution, and increasing welding speed will exacerbate longitudinal stress concentration. Also, the welding current exhibits opposite regulatory effects. Adopting a moderate welding speed and high current can achieve the best residual stress control effect.
