Observational analysis finds ayurveda relevant for lifestyle disorders, suggesting its integration in modern health care.
Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian life science and holistic healing, is currently gaining a resurgence on a global scale in the 21st century. Its fundamental notions of equilibrium among Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and individuality in constitution (Prakriti) impart personalized and preventive health care which is current with modern trends in medicine. Dinacharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), Rasayana (rejuvenating therapy), and Swasthavritta (codes of healthy living) are being highlighted for management of lifestyle disorders like stress, sleeplessness, obesity, and metabolic diseases. Yoga and Meditation, which are inherent practices of Ayurvedic philosophy, have gained worldwide acceptance to improve mental and physical wellness. Therapeutic modalities such as Panchakarma (detoxification therapy) and herbo-mineral preparations have attracted rigorous scientific inquiry toward integration into holistic health care. This will be in spite of challenges like standardization and regulatory oversight wherein Ayurveda preys on the sustainable living, natural healing, and mind-body harmony, which commands contemporary relevance in today's fast-paced, healthconscious society. This research paper, evaluates the present relevance, advancements, and global integration of Ayurveda in the 21st century.
