This review presents key practices in road safety education for adolescents, highlighting effective traffic education programs from various countries.
In many countries, road safety education for children is an important part of their national policy. In most of them it is included in the school curriculum either in the form of a lesson or in the form of a school curriculum or as a school activity and practice. It is also often seen as an activity or initiative integrated into a local level framework in collaboration with local actors. Most Traffic Education programs designed by developed and developing countries around the world are about safe pedestrian transportation. The aim of the work is to seek and present international teaching practices for pre-adolescent and adolescent children in pedestrian movement. Practical and applied actions are recorded from European countries, from the United States of America, from Australia, as well as from developing countries such as Ghana and Malaysia. The paper finally presents the actions of the National Traffic Education Network, as a comprehensive pedestrian education program for students in our country.
