Observational analysis reveals job satisfaction mediates employee engagement in Yogyakarta, indicating support enhances commitment.
In the contemporary corporate landscape, organizations want people with a profound commitment to their roles. Such commitment is derived from the outcomes of cognitive, emotional, and physical interactions established within the workplace, which subsequently foster a positive mindset that enhances the company's competitive edge. This study's model analyzes the influence of psychological empowerment, perceived organizational support, and job satisfaction on employee engagement, with job satisfaction acting as a mediator in the process. This study focuses on case of Naturindo Surya Niaga Company Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with thirty-six employees chosen as respondents. We performed data analysis and hypothesis testing using SEM-PLS 4.0. This study reveals that perceived organizational support has a bigger partial impact on employee engagement than psychological empowerment. Job satisfaction not only positively influences employee engagement but also acts as an intermediary factor. This research aims to offer valuable contributions to both scholars and practitioners striving to boost organizational effectiveness by empowering and engaging employees.
