Descriptive report analyzes solid waste management in Chiclayo, emphasizing recycling and sustainability practices.
The purpose of this report was to address the impact of the circular economy on solid waste managementwithin the civil construction sector, with emphasis on the city of Chiclayo, Peru. This study is characterized by being descriptive, with a non-experimental qualitative and cross-sectional approach. The research identifiesopportunities for recycling and reuse of materials, analyzes the implementation of sustainable strategiesand highlights international practices in waste management. It is concluded that applying circular economymodels significantly reduces environmental impact, promotes sustainability, improves the competitiveness ofcompanies and generates long-term economic benefits. This approach proposes practical solutions such as classification at origin, the use of advanced technologies and the strengthening of public policies, contributing to the development of a more efficient and responsible sector.
