This analysis of user radio discourse reveals new communication strategies in online platforms, highlighting trends in listener engagement.
The article deals with specifics of user radio discourse with a focus on communicative “nakedness” (discourse of “new sincerity”), the repertoire of its scenarios and strategic tools that shape new types of communicative practices. Thematerial of the study was 500 user messages in the media formats VKontakte, Facebook* in the period 2020–2024. New facets of the content and functional capabilities of Internet radio at the present stage are analyzed, allowing to improve the quality of radio content and optimize interaction with the addressee. The main methods in the study were: discourse analysis, content analysis, contextual method. Listeners’ statements become significant component of Internet radio texts, forming new informative and attractive communicative practices. The article reveals several types of new (in addition to entertainment and information) communicative practices in the communicative space of radio, which are constructed by two basic scenarios: expositional private-personal (explication of personal meanings) and expositional affective (hypersensitivity). The expositional private-personal scenario is implemented through communicative strategies with a focus on demonstrating the individual as an act of performance and public presentation of personal space. The expositional affective scenario is manifested by the strategy of public hypersensitization. Thematic dominants, discourse-generating scenarios, strategies of “new sincerity” represent a new form of carnival, modifying the recreational function of radio.
