Analysis reveals preservation strategies for cultural heritage against climate change effects using UAV photogrammetry.
Climate change has had a significant impact on the built environment, aggravating structural, economic and social problems. Among the risks identified is the threat to cultural heritage, which can suffer irreversible losses due to extreme events and environmental degradation. Given this scenario, documentation and monitoring strategies are essential for the preservation and management of these assets. This study aims to carry out 3D mapping of a historic building using photogrammetry with a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). The methodology used is divided into 4 stages: (1) Defining the study area; (2) Planning the work; (3) Recording the photos; (4) Converting them into a 3D model. The expected results include the creation of an accurate digital record, which can be used for monitoring, restoration and future studies. In this way, the work contributes to the development of technological solutions applied to the preservation of cultural heritage, in line with climate change adaptation strategies.
