The article explores the methods for analyzing digital transformation in the context of regional sustainable development in the Russian Federation. The study focuses on the assessment of digital maturity as a key indicator of territorial systems’ readiness for adopting innovative and digital operational models. Theoretical and methodological foundations are discussed, with particular emphasis on integral and index-based measurement approaches such as the Digital Economy Index, e-Government Index, and Digital Activity Index for the agro-industrial sector. The role of digital platforms in ensuring sustainability, stakeholder interaction, and strategic decision-making is highlighted. Key factors affecting the effectiveness of digital transformation — such as infrastructure, human capital, and institutional conditions — are identified. The findings are relevant for developing regional development strategies and for applied research in the field of digitalization.
