This review examines battery charging methods and their effects on infrastructure and grids for electric vehicles, suggesting improvements for environmental sustainability.
EVs will have an impact on global energy issues. The batteries and charging methods used by EVs have an impact on both electric cars and the power grid. Furthermore, it is challenging to devise a workable plan to electrify transportation networks to make them more environmentally friendly and independent of global warming. In this paper investigates the present condition, recent advancements, major obstacles in the progress of infrastructure and charging methods for Electric Vehicles (EVs) in compliance with different international standards and charging laws. This investigation thoroughly examines more recent battery charging techniques for EV charging systems. In addition, we have presented a thorough examination of the effects of charging on the infrastructure and grid, particularly with regards to the upcoming wireless charging technique. We discussed charging levels 1, 2, and 3 using the RT-Lab simulator, as well as their minimum time consumption of 30 minutes, which we can eliminate using the dynamic state charging vehicle technique.
